Your partner for auxiliary heaters, spare parts, and maintenance
Our approval by the German Federal Motor Transport Authority makes us the preferred partner for large, heavy vehicles and demanding duty cycles. In addition to heating units, we also manufacture our own control units and switch boxes.
We support you in the maintenance of engines, transmissions, axles, or water pumps across your vehicle fleetWe also provide bodywork services and help secure spare-parts availability for decades. For rare, special, and valuable vehicles, we procure hard-to-find parts and accessories. When OEMs or spare parts are no longer available, we engineer and manufacture replacement solutions and can repair and recondition legacy products in series.
Our efficient logistics, including export handling and customs clearance, enable fast and uncomplicated delivery in Germany, Europe, and worldwide including North America. With our services, we help extend vehicle service life, maintain readiness, and optimize total fleet cost over the long term.
My grandfather founded the company in 1947 together with Mr. Herold in Neuwied—and I recently looked it up again: The establishment was reported to the trade police in Neuwied in January 1947. I still remember many stories from my grandfather about that time. The first location was in the middle of Neuwied. The ground was still unpaved; when it rained, there were potholes filled with water. Some work had to be done outdoors, directly on the ground. It was so busy, my grandfather said, that there wasn’t enough space in the courtyard—so work extended onto sidewalks and even into the streets. With so many customers, they had to operate in different streets, which understandably became an issue with the authorities. They had to relocate again after a short time—yet demand remained high. By the 1960s, the decision was made to move to the Neuwied industrial estate. I still remember exactly what my grandfather said at the opening: the mayors of Neuwied were there, and it felt huge. Today, after decades of growth, we sometimes say the same thing across all sites—“it’s too small everywhere.

FAQ Special Technology Defence
In Special Technology, we develop, manufacture, repair, and supply spare parts for vehicle assemblies with very long service lives—typically up to 30–40 years.
Through long-standing collaboration with military organizations, we have been working with a wide variety of vehicles and assemblies for decades. We are also a KBA recognized manufacturer of auxiliary heaters (Federal Motor Transport Authority) and certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
New investments often exceed the planned budget because the components of a vehicle have different lifespans. Wear parts that need to be replaced regularly are also required for operation. Repair work contributes to optimization, reduces downtime, and thus lowers overall costs, especially for high-quality vehicles.
By using new devices and components that are still being produced decades after their market launch, the service life of the vehicles can be significantly extended and operational readiness maintained for many years.
At Vogtmann, we place great importance on speed, top quality, and sustainability. As a one-stop shop, we offer complete solutions that guarantee maximum precision even in highly complex situations. Our experienced team thinks ahead to ensure your long-term mobility. With our expertise, we make sure you stay mobile. Drive that inspires!
